Boricha is a Korean tea made from roasted barley, which is drank either hot or cold, pretty much at every meal. It has a lovely roasted, sweet and nutty flavour profile, and it usually replaces drinking water for most Korean families!
This Boricha was sourced as raw barley grains from the Cowichan Valley in BC, and roasted by me. The Shoyu was sourced directly from the soy sauce brewers in Kyoto, upon my last visit earlier this year!
This flavour was very special to make, on many levels, and ended up being my most coveted and favourite one to enjoy by the scoops! Both nostalgic with its toasty, nutty and mocha-like warm notes, its a hard one not to crush.
